Friends, Family Of 2 Local Broncos Players Prepare To Cheer On Their Kids During The Big Game

WILLINGBORO, NJ (CBS) -- If you can't decide which team to root for at the Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos or the Seattle Seahawks, just ask Steven Johnson, Senior.
"Got to go with The Broncos," he says.
But Johnson is biased -- his son is Steven Johnson Junior, a linebacker for Denver.
"But I don't think it's really hit me yet that this is the Super Bowl. My kid is playing in it," Johnson says.
He grew up in Media and keeps in touch with his family. In fact, Johnson spoke to his son Thursday about the Big game.
"I asked him how is he doing, and he is taking it all in for the most part and just preparing himself for the game on Sunday," the elder Johnson says.
Johnson Senior owns a barbershop in Upper Darby and loves talking about football - even if it's trash talk.
"I've got guys coming in and they are going for the Seahawks all day," he says, adding that he is heading up to MetLife Stadium Sunday morning.
His Super Bowl prediction is: "27-17 Denver."
If you need another reason to cheer on Denver, just cross the bridge and head on over to Willingboro, New Jersey, where another Broncos player grew up. His name is Shaun Phillips.
"Shaun was an outstanding young man," says Ty Belford, who coached the Broncos' Defensive End at Willingboro High School.
"I used to say in meetings that there is going to be some guys in here who will someday be playing on Sunday in the NFL, and it came to fruition with Shaun," Belford says.
Phillips -- a former player for the San Diego chargers -- is just one of the many athletes in the school's Hall of Fame, and that includes Carl Lewis.
Coach Belford says Phillips doesn't need a win this Sunday to be considered a winner.
"Super Bowl is one thing, but him being a great guy and a good person - that means more to me than a ring."
