'Hazmat' Situation In Bridesburg Involved No Dangerous Materials

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A fire in the Honeywell Frankford Plant in the Bridesburg section of the city caused momentary panic overnight.

Fire crews were called to the scene of a hazardous materials situation at the plant, located at 4701 Bermuda Street, early on Saturday morning.

Around 1:24 a.m., the fire was placed under control.

The Fire Board confirmed that the fire was caused by a leak in a natural gas line. No hazardous products were involved, and no injuries were reported.
