Nutter Gets His Wish With Phillies-Eagles Prime Time
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Game Three of the Phils-Reds series comes tomorrow night, in Cincinnati, but virtually at the same time as the Eagles-49ers matchup. What's a sports fan to do?
Beware what you ask for. Mayor Nutter openly complained this week that games one and two of the Phillies playoff were not in prime time. So now he has his wish -- Sunday's game three will be in prime time, though unfortunately clashing with the Eagles game.
Nutter plans some serious channel flipping:
"We're definitely watching both, I can tell you that. If I can ever figure out the picture-in-picture thing, I'd kinda do that. But I've read the instructions a few times, and I haven't been able to figure that one out."
So instead Nutter says he'll use that handy 'last channel' button on the remote as he follows both games in prime time.
