Northern Suburbs Take Latest Snowfall In Stride
BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) -- This morning's snow seemed to be more of a nuisance for many drivers who had to climb out of bed early and head to work.
Business was brisk at the Wawa store at the corner of Street and Hulmeville Roads in Bensalem, where many drivers said they were pleasantly surprised by the amount of snow the area received overnight.
The snow ended early, giving plow crews a chance to get the upper hand on clearing the roads.
Jason Myers was headed from Northeast Philadelphia to Trevose (Bucks County) and had little trouble.
"It's actually been pretty good," Myers told KYW Newsradio on Wednesday morning. "The roads are a lot clearer than they were during the last storm. It's actually a slick in certain spots, but for the most part it's clear," he said.
The suburbs saw about four to six inches of the light, powdery snow, and plow drivers say that's what they like to see because it's easier to move off the streets and parking lots.
