Man Killed After Drawing Gun On Police In North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man is dead after drawing a gun at police in North Philadelphia.
Police say the incident took place around 7 p.m. Monday at 9th and Clearfield Streets after officers responded to a report of gunfire.
Authorities say when they arrived at the scene, a man pulled a weapon on the officers. The officers fired, striking the suspect multiple times in the torso.
The suspect was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
