New "Please Touch" Exhibit Educates Kids About Disabilities
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A new exhibit opening Saturday at the "Please Touch" Museum is designed to bring disability awareness to children.
Visitors to the new "Access Ability" exhibit will get the chance to learn some American Sign Language, type their names in Braille, use a hand-pedaling bicycle, and hear the stories of those who live with disabilities.
"I have cerebral palsy," begins one narration. "Because of my disability..."
"The message of the exhibit is that we are all alike and we all do the same things, even if sometimes we have different disabilities," says Laura Foster, president and CEO of the museum.
Access Ability will be at the Please Touch Museum, in East Fairmount Park, through April 24th.
