New Book By Rolling Stone Photographer Baron Wolman Features Over 200 Photos Of Musicians

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Music lovers have a new book to peruse by the first chief photographer of Rolling Stone magazine.

Baron Wolman (photo) was with Rolling Stone magazine at the beginning and spent three years snapping pictures of musicians who have become some of the biggest names in the business.

"It was an amazing day because every day I was out shooting another musician who has become iconic, back then they weren't iconic they were neighbors. Janis Joplin lived close to me. The Grateful Dead lived close to me; Jefferson Airplane lived close to me, we saw each other on the street."

The Rolling Stone Years has more than 200 beautiful photos of such stars as Pete Townsend, Frank Zappa and Bob Dylan plus stories about how the pictures came to be and what was going on behind the scenes.
