New Bill Would Make New Jersey First State To Ban Hidden Fees In Cable Bills

MERCER COUNTY, N.J. (CBS) -- A new push to get rid of hidden fees on your cable bill is underway in New Jersey. Assemblymember Paul Moriarty introduced a bill on Thursday that would force cable and satellite companies to include extra fees and charges in the advertised price.

Consumer Reports say the fees can add up to $37 per month.

If the bill passes, New Jersey would become the first state to ban the hidden fees.
