Man Fatally Struck By Amtrak Train In Delaware County

SHARON HILL, Pa. (CBS) -- AMTRAK is reporting one man dead after he was walking on the railroad tracks near the Sharon Hill Station this afternoon.

It happened just before 12:30 p.m. at Clifton Avenue and Elmwood.

AMTRAK says the ACELA express train was en-route from Boston to Washington D.C. when the accident happened.

The exact details surrounding the deadly incident were not immediately known.

As a result, all AMTRAK trains were delayed approximately 30-minutes.
