Man Arrested Shortly After Robbing Delaware Bank

MILLSBORO, Del. (CBS) – A man was arrested Saturday shortly after robbing the M&T Bank in Millsboro, Delaware, according to authorities.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the bank located on Longneck Road.

Authorities say 32-year-old Hakim Drake entered the bank with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money from three tellers, who gave him the cash.

He then reportedly fled the scene to a nearby apartment complex, dropping cash along the way. Witnesses directed police to the apartment, where Drake was later arrested.

Drake was charged with three counts of robbery in the first degree, two counts of aggravated menacing, and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute on $180,000 cash bail.

Detectives determined that the weapon used in the robbery was a pellet gun.
