Man Accused Of Placing Skimming Devices On ATMs In Philly, Montco
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are on the hunt for a man they say was caught on surveillance video placing a skimming device on an ATM machine.
Authorities say on July 17, surveillance video showed a man entering the 7-Eleven on the 800 block of Walnut Street, then placing a skimming device on a standalone ATM machine.
Police recovered the device.
Officials say it is believed the man placed a skimming device on the same ATM on July 10.
Police say the male is also wanted in connection with the placement of a skimming device on an ATM on the 200 block of Market Street, which was recovered on July 26.
Authorities say the suspect is also wanted in connection to the placement of skimming devices on multiple ATM machines throughout Montgomery County.
Police say there is a $3,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the man.
