Suspect wanted in Philadelphia shooting that left woman dead, man injured, police say

A suspect is wanted in connection with a shooting in Philadelphia's Juniata Park neighborhood that killed a 33-year-old woman and injured a 38-year-old man, police said.

The shooting happened at around 9:30 a.m. on the 1500 block of East Luzerne Street. Chopper 3 was on the scene and saw police investigating an alley near Luzerne Street and Castor Avenue.

Police say 56-year-old Deiby Rivera Gonzalez is wanted for fatally shooting the woman and injuring the man. Police said he has a stocky build and is 5-foot-9.

The 33-year-old woman was shot multiple times in her torso. Police said she was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead just before 9:30 a.m. Police identified the woman as Jaylisa Quinones-Pinet of Philadelphia. 

The 38-year-old man was shot multiple times, according to police. He was taken to the hospital and placed in critical condition.

Police said the motive for the shooting was domestic. Officers found six fired cartridge casings at the scene. 

The shooting is under investigation.
