Local High School Girls Get Close Up View Of Technology Jobs

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - Nearly two dozen local high school girls got a close up view of jobs in the technology field.
DigiGirlz is a program sponsored by Microsoft Corporation to encourage females to enter the traditional male world of technology.
Katherine Campayo (right), a sophomore at Downingtown Stem Academy in Chester County, wants to be an aeronautical engineer and when people find out that's her dream, most are surprised.
"You get a lot of raised eyebrows. They ask like, 'Why do you want to do that? That's not a very common field that a high school girl sophomore would like to take up.' and I take it in stride and it kind of makes me more unique," says Katherine.
She says getting professional and personal advice from women working in technical fields is an opportunity she welcomes.
