KYW's Local Legends: Bob and Joyce Byers
Bob and Joyce Byers started "Byers' Choice" 32 years ago. It's a Bucks County Christmas company that sells handcrafted figurines from all over the world.
Byers' Choice donates 20 percent of its profits to charity.
(Joyce:) "I mean, we were just so blessed. We thought, 'What are we ever going to do with all this?' And the obvious answer was to share it with others."
Of the many charities they have founded, the Byerses launched "Bucks Beautiful," promoting tourism and business with roadside and community gardens.
(Bob:) "To brighten up the lives of all the people who live within the community. And as visitors come and see these flowers everywhere, they will want to live here and they will want to return here."
