Jury Hears Details of Phila. Police Officer's Murder
by KYW's Tony Hanson
As the trial of two men accused of killing a Philadelphia police sergeant continues (see previous story), the jury has seen the assault rifle used to murder Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski and the disguises worn by the alleged killers the day of the crime.

The jury has also heard about the theft of the getaway vehicle used in the bank robbery that preceded the murder -- a vehicle that was intercepted by the sergeant just before his death.
The prosecution alleges that defendant Eric Floyd and the triggerman in the murder, Howard Cain, who was later shot and killed by police, carjacked a vehicle the day before the murder, terrorizing and threatening to kill the victim.
Aaraon Savage, working as a hack cabbie, says he was flagged down and then held at gunpoint, threatened with death and forced into the trunk of his Jeep.
He says he "made peace" because he thought he was going to die.
But at one point, he testified, as the carjackers tried to reposition him in the trunk he saw a second chance at life, hit and tripped one of the gunmen, and fled into a stranger's home. They called police.
That stolen vehicle was used in the fatal crimes a day later.
