Homeless Woman Charged With Stabbing Two Teens In Love Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A homeless woman has been charged with stabbing two teens in Love Park Wednesday night.

The two teenagers were playing near the fountain in Love Park around 7 p.m. when someone apparently threw a water bottle at a woman, who police identify as 19-year-old Gabrielle Hodges.

Hodges then allegedly took out a pair of scissors and stabbed the two girls. She allegedly stabbed one girl, a 15-year-old, in the stomach and shoulder and a 16-year-old girl in the nose.

Police, who were nearby, took Hodges into custody without resistance. She faces charges of aggravated assault.

The 15-year-old is listed in good condition at Hahnemann Hospital. The 16-year-old girl was treated for a cut nose and released.
