Home Video Report: Stone Hits DVD
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There's an interesting list of (somewhat obscure) video releases this week.
The movie Stone features Edward Norton (above right) as a convicted arsonist trying to talk his parole officer, played by Robert De Niro, into granting him an early release in exchange for what we might call a "dalliance" with the parolee's wife.
From the 1960s there is a re-release of Shock Corridor and The Naked Kiss from director Sam Fuller, along with two DVDs of Roger Corman's sci-fi classics from the late 1950s accompanied by interviews of Corman, Joe Dante, Peter Fonda, and other notables.
And, from 1987, "One Night With Dice," a rare early performance from Philadelphia's famous Comedy Factory Outlet: a peek at the early career of Andrew Dice Clay, the original "hoodlum of humor."
