Hamels Pitches Well For Phils, Aceves Hit Hard
FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Cole Hamels allowed two runs and four hits in four innings, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat a Boston Red Sox split squad 10-5 Saturday.
Hamels struck out three and walked two.
Alfredo Aceves, contending for one of two open spots in Boston's rotation, gave up nine runs and 10 hits in three innings.
He allowed solo home runs to Pete Orr, Freddy Galvis and Carlos Ruiz, and also had a walk, a wild pitch and a hit batter.
