Gas Leak Halts Traffic Near Cooper Landing Rd. In Cherry Hill
CHERRY HILL, Nj (CBS) -- PSE&G is on the scene of a gas leak in Cherry Hill, along Chapel Avenue near Cooper Landing Road.
Heavy natural gas odor is being reported.
A representative of the utility company says the gas line was apparently ruptured by a construction crew that was digging.
Nearby Cherry Hill High School West has not been effected by the leak.
Cooper Landing Road is currently closed to traffic from Chapel Avenue to New York Avenue.
PSE&G is investigating the official cause of leak.
