Flyers Briere in Car Accident

Flyers winger/center Danny Briere and his 9 year old son escaped with just bruises, following a auto collision early Thursday morning in Binghamton, NY. Reports say Briere became drowsy, drifted into the right lane, and side-swiped a tractor-trailer, causing the driver of the rig to lose control and jack-knife. Briere's 2010 Land Rover then hit the guardrail.

The accident blocked the north bound lanes of Inerstate 81 for nearly 5 hours. He and his son were treated for minor injuries and released. This morning Briere said, "I was driving home to visit family and friends back in Canada when I got into an accident. "My youngest son and I are both OK. We are doing fine."
