Firefighter Injured During Fire In Mantua Section

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One firefighter was injured in a two-alarm fire overnight at the D.C. Fuel Oil Company near 40th and Parrish Streets.
The fire was discovered inside a one-story warehouse-like building around 10 p.m. Sunday.
The fire is believed to have started in a fully-loaded fuel oil truck that was destroyed.
It took approximately 70 firefighters to battle the blaze, which was placed under control at about 1 a.m.
The firefighter was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Fire officials say 17 people were evacuated from nearby homes as a precaution, but no homes were impacted.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
