Firefighter, 2 Others Injured In Montgomery County House Fire
LOWER MERION, Pa. (CBS) - Three people, including a firefighter, were taken to area hospitals after a fire broke out at a home in Montgomery County Friday evening.
Crews were called out to a home in the 2200 block of Stone Ridge Lane in Lower Merion at about 6:45 p.m. Initial reports indicated three people were trapped inside the home.
Firefighters were able to place the fire under control a little before 7:30 p.m.
Authorities say a firefighter, a medic and the owner of the home suffered smoke inhalation. One person was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment; the other two were taken to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
