1 dead after fire tears through home in North Philadelphia
A person has died after a fire broke out at a rowhome in North Philadelphia on Thursday morning, officials said.
Crews were called to the home on 12th Street near Huntingdon shortly after 5 a.m.
Chopper 3 flew over the scene and showed smoke coming from the windows of the home, which is next to a corner store.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
