Film Shot Locally Hits Theaters This Week

The movie Standing Ovation hits theaters this week and much of the movie was shot locally.
Movie producer Diane Kirman says the film is a modern-day musical:
"The film is centered around a music video contest and they all have to make their own music videos so aside from the dance numbers, we get to see music videos performed."
And actress London Clark explains if you're from the area, you'll recognize many of the shots:
"We shot most of it down at the shore so we were in Ocean City and Wildwood which is where a lot of us grew up going to the beach and stuff so it was pretty cool."
Kirman says Philadelphia also makes a couple of cameos:
"You'll see William Penn, you'll see the [Liberty] Bell, you'll see center city locations, you'll see the streets in center city. I mean, it's highly recognizable and even in the film, you'll see a script that comes up that says, 'Philadelphia, Pa.' There's a scene in the film where they're shooting a commercial and they shoot it in Philadelphia."
Standing Ovation opens Friday, July 16th.
