FEMA Storm Relief Center To Open In Brick Township, NJ

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, a FEMA disaster relief center opened Friday in Brick Township, NJ.

The FEMA Storm Relief Center at Drum Point Elementary School, located at 41 Drum Point Road, opened at noon and will stay open until 6 p.m. Friday. Starting Saturday, it will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until there is no longer a need for it.

The center will help people looking for guidance following Sandy, as well as those trying to find out more about FEMA or other disaster relief programs.

Governor Christie is scheduled to be there at 3 p.m. Friday.

You can register for assistance at a Disaster Recovery Center or you can register online at www.fema.gov or by calling 1 (800) 621-FEMA (3362). The TTY number is 1 (800) 462-7585 for those who are speech- or hearing-impaired.
