FedEx Opening Express Counters On Christmas Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Last-minute holiday shipment volumes and bad weather in some areas of the country has FedEx opening up express counters on Christmas Day to possibly get you a gift to put under the tree.

FedEx was doing their best to get those packages delivered on time.

Antoine Hall's truck was packed as he made deliveries to a condo complex in the Art Museum area. He says when the last-minute packages arrive, he's treated like jolly Old Saint Nick himself:

"I've been told 'I love you' by many different people that I never met or never seen a day in my life before. A lot of people are like 'I love you, thank you so much' and I'm like 'ok I'm just Mr. FedEx to you, but if you love me I'll take it'."

But the ones that did not make it on Thursday, there's still hope on Christmas Day. Counters at FedEx express stations throughout the country will be open 9am to 1pm.

You can plug in your tracking number at fedex.com to see if your delivery is available for pickup, or call 1-800-gofedex.
