FBI Searching For Philadelphia-Area Serial Bank Robber
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The FBI and Philadelphia law enforcement partners are asking for the public's help in identifying a serial bank robbery suspect they believe is connected to at least four incidents over the past two weeks.
On Thursday, the Sovereign Bank branch in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. was robbed. The person responsible is believed to have attempted to rob the TD Bank branch on Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia about 30 minutes earlier. The suspect is also believed to be responsible for robberies at the TD Bank in Haverford, Pa. and the Citizens Bank in Bala Cynwyd.
He is described as a black male, in his late 20s to mid-30s, 5'9" to 5'10" tall, medium build, goatee, with dark-framed glasses. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about him is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000. A reward may be issued.
