Family Fun At The Morris Arboretum
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Look at the all the pretty leaves, climb up in the trees, paint a pumpkin, and even build a scarecrow - sounds like a perfect fall day, doesn't it? Your family's invited to do all that and more, on Sunday, October 2 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Morris Arboretum's annual Fall Festival.
You'll find everything you need for your family to build your own scarecrow: straw, a frame, and an array of clothes to create your creature's costume. Then take a walk to see the designer scarecrows already on display along the Oak Allée, and vote for your favorite - it's sort of like Project Runway for models with heads full of hay.
Get a bird's eye view of the spectacular changing fall colors on some of our area's biggest and oldest trees from the Out on a Limb canopy walk that's 50 feet up in the air. And the Philadelphia 'Zoo on Wheels' Born in the USA critters will even show you how native animals are getting ready for winter.
