Eagles' Bradley "A Stretch" For Sunday's Game Against Green Bay
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles will host the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the NFC Playoffs, this Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
This will be a rematch, of course, of the regular season opener, also in South Philadelphia, in which Green Bay held off the Eagles 27-20.
Kevin Kolb started that game under center for the Eagles (above), but he came out when he suffered a concussion after a tackle by Packers' linebacker Clay Matthews.
That injury opened the door for Michael Vick to take over as the Eagles' new starting quarterback, and led the Eagles back to the playoffs.
On the injury front, head coach Andy Reid today made some interesting comments concerning middle linebacker Stewart Bradley, who has been out for several weeks with a dislocated elbow. Reid said Bradley would not be able to play if the game were today, and that it would be a stretch for Bradley to make it on Sunday.
This news comes after Bradley said after the game last night that he was looking forward to playing against Green Bay.
Reid says he thought it was beneficial and important to rest many of his starters in the game against the Cowboys, including Vick. The only starting offensive lineman to start yesterday got hurt; Max Jean-Gilles suffered a sprained ankle, although Reid says he is moving around pretty well today.
