Drummers Audition To Become Part Of Eagles History

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Talented drummers of all ages showed up with drum sticks in hand at the Nova Care Center in South Philadelphia because they want to be part of a new chapter for the Eagles.

Some football teams already have them, but this is the first time the Eagles are auditioning for a Drum Line.

Tim McDermott is chief marketing officer for the Birds:

"It's about bringing energy to the stadium, creating a little home field advantage, some noise and excitement, something that we're going to phase in, kind of a crawl, walk, run approach. But I think it's a lot of fun, a lot of energy, a lot of noise, so I think our fans will enjoy it."

The line will march on the plaza and the concourse to stir excitement. They debut October 17th.
