Driver Sought In Northeast Philadelphia Hit-And-Run

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after striking a pedestrian in Northeast Philadelphia Monday evening.

The hit-and-run happened at about 5 p.m. on Bustleton Avenue near Norwalk Rd. in the city's Bustleton section.

According to investigators, the unidentified pedestrian was trying to cross the street when she was struck by a car.

After striking the woman, the driver fled the scene and currently remains at large.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
