Driver Going Wrong Way Causes Multi-Vehicle Accident On Route 1
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to Middletown Police, a driver going southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 1 in Bucks County caused a multi-vehicle accident on Sunday night. Six people involved in the accident were transported to area hospitals.
No fatalities were reported as several different vehicles with a total of seven passengers were involved in the accident.
Southbound Route 1 is currently open to traffic while northbound will remain closed until the investigation is finished.
Authorities say they do not know where the driver got on to Route 1 or how long he was driving before the accident took place.
