Drexel Loses To Delaware, 66-64
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Kyle Anderson scored 15 points as Delaware snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Drexel 66-64 Monday night in Colonial Athletic Conference action.
Devon Sadler scored 13 points to record his conference-best 26th straight double-figure contest for Delaware (9-11, 4-3). Carl Baptiste added a career-high 13 rebounds off the bench.
The Blue Hens led 64-49 with 4:22 left, but Drexel responded with 13 consecutive points, including Frantz Massenat's jumper to make it 64-62 with 1:59 remaining. The Dragons missed their final four field goals — including three whiffed jumpers from Massenat — and Delaware hit a free throw to offset Massenat's two for the final margin.
Massenat scored 15 points, and Damion Lee added a career-best 30 points on 10-of-21 shooting for the Dragons (8-12, 4-4), who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
Drexel had won four straight in the rivalry at the Daskalakis Center.
