Delaware Travels To Albany On Saturday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Delaware Blue Hens will be on the road Saturday for a Colonial Athletic Association match-up with Albany.
Delaware is 3-5 on the season (1-4 CAA) and for the first time since mid-September, the Blue Hens are coming off a win. This past Saturday, Delaware beat Towson in Newark, 20-6. The victory snapped a five-game losing streak and it was the first win for interim head coach Dennis Dottin-Carter, who was happy to see his players get a reward for all the hard work they've put in during what has been a frustrating season.
"To have it not go the way that you want it to go, it's tough," Dottin-Carter tells KYW Newsradio. "It's very, very frustrating. So every win is special. Every single win is special, it's hard to win. So to get this one was really, really great for the guys."
Delaware rushed for 243 yards in the win over Towson, while holding the Tigers to 208 yards of total offense.

The Albany team the Blue Hens will visit on Saturday is 5-3 (2-3 in the CAA). The Great Danes started the season 4-0 before losing three straight. They snapped that losing streak last time out with a 27-3 home win over Elon.
"They are a well-coached team," Dottin-Carter says. "Without a doubt, they are a very, very well-coached team offensively and defensively."
Albany is averaging 26 points a game this season and Dottin-Carter says they have talent on that offense.
"From the quarterback position on down to all the offensive lineman," Dottin-Carter says. "They've got a very veteran offensive line, one of the most veteran groups in this league. Very talented running back, some guys at receiver, you've got the Zee Roberson kid who can go up and get it it, he's an explosive playmaker as well."
On defense, Albany is holding opponents to just under 18 points a contest.
"They've got the (Malachi) Hoskins kid who is a dynamic pass rusher and a kid who just knows how to make plays, does a great job for them," Dottin-Carter says. "At the linebacker level, they've got some really, really talented linebackers. (Michael) Nicastro, he's done a tremendous job the last couple of years. You look at (safeties) Josh Wynn and Mason Gray, they are two really, really good players."
Last year, Delaware lost to Albany in Newark, 17-6.
Saturday's game gets underway at 1:00pm.
