Cyclist Struck, Killed By Ambulance In Berks County
EXETER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS3) - A partially-paralyzed cyclist died after being struck by an ambulance in Berks County Thursday.
The deadly incident happened shortly before noon at Rugby Road and Stonetown Road in Exeter Township.
According to investigators, 49-year-old Steven Johnson was riding a modified bicycle down a steep hill when he apparently swerved and crashed into an ambulance. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deadly accident remains under investigation.
