Waterford Township, New Jersey, crash sends 3 people to hospital by medical helicopter
Three people were injured in a crash in Waterford Township, New Jersey, Wednesday night, police said.
The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. on Jackson Road in the area of Ashland Avenue, according to police.
Police said two vehicles were heading eastbound on Jackson Road and went off the side of the road and into a wooded area.
A vehicle driven by a 59-year-old man with a 60-year-old passenger went off Jackson Road, struck a utility pole and rolled over, according to police. Both the 59-year-old and 60-year-old were from Vincentown, Burlington County, police said.
The other vehicle was driven by a 65-year-old man from Browns Mills, Burlington County, according to police. The vehicle went off the road in the crash and came to rest in the wooded area.
Police said several people who saw the crash stopped and helped to the three people injured in the accident until first responders arrived.
The three people were treated on the scene and airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, according to police. The conditions for the three people were not immediately available.
The crash is under investigation.
