Couples To Participate In Kissing Experiment At Blue Cross RiverRink
By Chelsea Karnash
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – This Friday, shaving bigwig Gillette is inviting couples to the Blue Cross RiverRink for a little PDA – all in the name of "science."
There's only one requirement: Men must have stubble.
Why all the fuss about facial hair? According to Gillette, research has shown that 66% of women have avoided kissing a guy because of it. The company is hoping to uncover the truth.
Stubble-clad men and their significant others who wish to participate in the experiment will undergo a brief introductory interview at the RiverRink before leaning in for a smooch. Then, the men will shave and the couple will kiss again.
After the second lip-lock, a short follow-up survey will be conducted to determine which kiss was better: the one with stubble or the one without. Guys will go home with Gillette products and ladies will receive a free COVERGIRL lip balm.
If you're not up for conducting your research in public, you can submit your data online at www.kissandtellus.com.
Gillette says the results of the survey will be announced on Valentine's Day.
