Convicted Rapist On Trial For 2008 West Philadelphia Attack
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A 27-year-old woman, a former center city resident, fought through tears on Monday to tell a jury about a home invasion attack as despicable, as evil as one could imagine.
The defendant is an accused serial rapist who allegedly attacked in Philadelphia in late 2008.
The victim has testified that she and her boyfriend were forced into her apartment at knifepoint: the attacker had a foot-long butcher knife to their throats and taunted and tortured them, saying things like, "Do you want it in the throat or do you want it in the stomach?" and, "Now you are both going to die."
They were bound and she was raped repeatedly even though they tried to fight back and begged him to stop, begged him to leave.
The prosecution says defendant Domenique Wilson (above) is linked to this and another similar attack in West Philadelphia by eyewitness identification and DNA, but the defense is still challenging the identification.
Wilson is already serving a sentence of at least 70 years in prison for a third, similar attack in Lock Haven, Pa.
