Construction Project Closes I-95 At U.S. 202 Interchange Through Monday In Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del., (CBS) -- Construction is closing I-95 north and southbound at the U.S. 202 Interchange through Monday morning in Delaware.

The Department of Transportation says the closure will begin at 9 p.m. Friday and last through 5 a.m. Monday.

The highway will be closed for the demolition of the existing northbound I-95 to northbound U.S. 202 Bridge Ramp over I-95.  DelDOT says crews will also remove and replace two girders on the U.S. 202 Bridge over I-95.

The ramps from U.S. Route 202 southbound onto I-95 northbound and U.S. Route 202 northbound onto I-95 southbound will also be closed.

DelDOT recommends that all non-local traffic utilize I-495 in lieu of I-95.
