Children Ring In 2016 A Little Early At The Please Touch Museum
By Alexandria Hoff
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The New Year's Eve partying normally doesn't start until later this evening, but some in Philadelphia are already having fun welcoming in 2016.
For all intents and purposes it is now 2016 inside of the Please Touch Museum. At least that's the case for those whose bedtime falls before midnight. The special countdown happened at noon.
Due to the popularity of this event, a second New Year's countdown took place at 1 p.m. This is a big event for families with children seven and under who still want to participate in New Year's Eve festivities.
There's music, dancing, and of course all of the interactive exhibits the Please Touch Museum has to offer. This year's theme is Alice in Wonderland, celebrating the book's 150th anniversary.
