Child Bitten By Pit Bull In North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - An 8-year-old child was rushed to an area hospital after being bitten by a pit bull in the leg in North Philadelphia on Saturday.
It happened near 24th and Somerset streets a little before 3 p.m. Police say the child was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in stable condition after being bitten in the calf.
Authorities say the dog will be taken to PACCA, the Philadelphia Animal Care and Control Association.
