Cherry Hill Man Sentenced To 17 Years In Prison For 2011 Death At Party

CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) – A Cherry Hill man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for the death of a man at a party back in 2011.

Naqueebullah Habibi, 20, pleaded guilty in July to Aggravated Manslaughter and admitted to the 2011 slaying of William Walker Jr., a 21-year-old Cherry Hill resident.

The two men were at a house party on May 30, 2011 when Habibi and another person got into a minor dispute inside the home. At 2 a.m., the fight flared up again and Walker became involved. Habibi stabbed Walker 15 times, and one of those stab wounds was fatal.

Walker was a paid Cherry Hill firefighter.
