Caught On Tape: Cherry Hill Mall Brawl
By Todd Quinones
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) -- The video posted online only lasts about a minute, but there is enough there for police to get a close look at some of the teenagers involved.
There were punches being thrown, kids kicking and throwing each other around right in front of shoppers.
The video of the brawl inside the Cherry Hill mall was posted on YouTube. In the video, you can see a group of about 10 kids involved in the fight.
No weapons were apparently used, and none of the teenagers were seriously injured.
Shoppers Eyewitness News spoke with feel the mall is still safe.
"Wouldn't keep me from going to the mall, but my kids, I would just make sure they would be with me," said Joseph Depre of Cherry Hill.
Cherry Hill police are investigating Saturday night's fight, which occurred just before 8 p.m.
(WARNING: Graphic Video)
A spokesperson for the mall did release a statement which reads in part, "The incident at Cherry Hill Mall Saturday night is isolated and rare. We strive to create a safe, enjoyable experience for our shoppers and employees and that will not change as a result of this incident."
When told about a group of teenagers fighting and then someone posting the video online, people generally had similar reactions.
"Sounds like a bunch of kids being stupid, kids that probably should've been under parental supervision," said Laura of Cherry Hill.
So far, no arrests have been made.
