Caitlyn Jenner Sells Out Speaking Event At Penn

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In a highly anticipated event, Caitlyn Jenner appeared on the University of Pennsylvania campus on Wednesday night. Students lined up to hear from Jenner.

The event was sold out. Jenner appeared alongside author Buzz Bissinger, who wrote the Vanity Fair story chronicling her transition.

"There's been a lot of coverage on it," said Danielle Citera, a student at Penn. "I thought it would be really interesting to see Caitlyn's perspective on things."

"I think she's a really important figure in the media right now...I think she's pretty controversial to be honest, but I wanted to be here, because I want to be able to hear what she has to say," said Penn senior Rolanda Evelyn.

Jenner was originally scheduled to speak at Penn in the fall, but due to her transition and all the publicity, she asked that the event be rescheduled.
