Bristol Palin Happy to Be "Dancing" in California

One of next season's stars on TV's "Dancing With The Stars" is certainly no stranger to the spotlight.

KYW's Bob Nelson reports that Bristol Palin (above), famous daughter of former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, says she's thrilled to be asked to be part of next season's show -- if only to get out of Alaska for a while.

Yes, she says, her mother has been informed and will certainly be a part of her audience:

"I said, hey mom, I signed a contract with 'Dancing With The Stars' and I'm going to go down there, get out of there for a while, just be in California and be in a whole new environment."

Palin will be partnered with Mark Ballas, who previously won the sixth season of "Dancing with the Stars" with Kristi Yamaguchi.
