BLOG: Celebrating Our Veterans Freedom Festival This Saturday
By Jim Donovan: If you don't have anything planned this weekend I wanted to let you know about an event that one of my Jim Donovan Fans on Facebook sent my way.
This Saturday, August 11th, Celebrating Our Veterans , a local non-profit group, is holding its first annual "Freedom Festival" fundraiser in Millville, NJ. The event will run from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Millville Elks Lodge #580. The lodge is located at 1815 East Broad Street in Millville, NJ. Admission is free. Proceeds from the festival will go to local veterans and the "Officer Christopher Reeves Fund"
The Celebrating Our Veterans Freedom Festival will include 3 stages with live music: Country Star Sherry Lynn; Nora Eckler; Balaams' Ride; Coyote Jack Band; Impact; Lost In Brunswick; Mike McLoughlin and the Jersey Cropdusters; and others.
Artist Ed Peahota will be performing 2 live Speed Painting shows and then will auction the murals off.
In addition, there will be a chinese auction, horseshoe tournament, food court with a kids fun zone, and a silent auction with over 20 pieces of artwork hand-painted by veterans.
