Big Day For Montco School As KYW 1060 Awards Computer Lab Prize

TROOPER, Pa. (CBS) -- Tuesday was a special day at Visitation BVM School in Trooper (Montgomery County), where KYW Newsradio 1060 and Comcast Corp. presented ten brand-new laptop computers to the school.

Erin Delaney is a KYW Newsradio "Insider" who won her own laptop in the giveaway contest and nominated the K-8 school for a new computer lab. She's a 1996 graduate of the school, and principal Sister Diane Marie says her generosity will not be forgotten:

"She has always remembered us, and to have her name our school was a great honor."

More than 600 kids in the school will use the new laptops as a way to enhance their education through multimedia projects.

Eight grader CJ Nave has a message for Delaney from his fellow classmates:

"Thank you very much.  It's an honor to have these laptops.  Things don't come around these days like that.  Thank you very much."
