At the Jersey Shore, a Beautiful Holiday Weekend
Most restrictions on swimming have been lifted down the shore. So it's head for the beach.
KYW'S Mike Dougherty reports sunny skies, mild temperatures and a cool breeze -- it doesn't get much better than this. But for many, their time at the shore is over until next year, so they're soaking up while they can.
Jim and Ann, originally from Norristown, now call Ocean City home, say they love this time of year:
(Jim:) "We look forward to the fall, my wife and I, because we love the crowds when they're here, and when they're not here we love it when there's just a few people on the boardwalk."
(Ann:) "Years ago, before we came to Ocean City, we thought this was the end of summer, this was the end of the good times, but absolutely is not."
They say several stores on the boardwalk even stay open through December for anyone who wants to come out to buy Christmas presents.
