PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Democratic candidate for US Senate in Pennsylvania is joining others in condemning Donald Trump's derogatory remarks about women - and calling again on her opponent - incumbent Republican Pat Toomey, to finally disavow Trump.
Katie McGinty says it's "unacceptable" for Senator Toomey to stand silently for so long, rather than stand up to Trump.
"You know, Senator Toomey, it is time to man up."
McGinty hammered Trump for making crude and demeaning conversations about women.
"Donald trump is lewd, lecherous and a low life. Trump's life has been about building towers higher and higher to compensate for his own smallness."
She's critical of what she calls Toomey's "craven politics."
"Senator Toomey is playing politics at the great expense of his own constituents, and frankly, the future of this country."
Their race in Pennsylvania could help determine control of the Senate.
During a campaign stop in Villanova, Toomey again remained noncommittal.
"I am not endorsing him, and I remain unpersuaded."
Reporter: 'Could you endorse him later?'
"I've said it as clear as I could. I remain unpersuaded."
McGinty's supporters hope to land the first woman in the White House and Pa Senate; Toomey says the "reflexive partisanship" between McGinty and Hillary Clinton would not help break the gridlock in Washington.
