Actor-Comedian Anthony Anderson Visits Philly Health Fair
Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson is in Philadelphia this week, urging African-Americans to get more proactive about their health.
Anderson is making an appearance as the spokesman for Eli Lilly's "Fearless African-Americans Connected and Empowered" (FACE) diabetes initiative, traveling all over the country and telling his own story of type-2 diabetes:
"Lifestyle happened to me. Enjoying the spoils of my success. Traveling the world and eating all these rich foods and being a glutton. And, just like, 'Oh, I'll be all right.' I've always said I was big boned until I went to the doctor and he said, 'Anthony, there's no such thing as big bones. You're fat.' "
